Therapeutic dosage
30 - 300 mg daily, divided into two to three doses. Better absorbed
when taken in an oil-based gel form.
Safety concerns
Generally very safe.
Interactions
Statin cholesterol lowering medications, oral diabetic medications
(glyburide, phenformin, tolazamide), beta-blockers (propranolol,
metoprolol), antipsychotic medications (phenothiazine family),
tricyclic antidepressants, methyldopa, hydrochlorothiazide,
clonidine, hydralazine. With all of these medications, you may need
more coenzyme Q10.
